Im 5 weeks post band and havent had any fills. I cant eat scrambled eggs, throw them up every time. I ate burger last night and that was fine. Go figure? Im scared to eat anything but always hungry. Almost everything gives me pain except Soup. I dont really know what to think either?

Why is everything I read from post to post so different? Some people got fills during surgery, some got at 2 weeks. I was told maybe at 6 weeks. I read about people that got hiatal hernia repairs during surgery, I guess my durgeon just ignored mine. I am almost 6 weeks post and I feel like total crap. I cant get anything own my throat. Ive been throwing up for days off and on. My surgeon said, maybe stomach flu? Maybe not,,,see ya tuesday. Ive got pain just below my esophagus and dont know why? I cant eat anything but Soup. Im beginning to feel very depressed, I cant live this way. DId I make a mistake? Im down 20 lbs, a drop in the bucket. But I felt better with the 20 lbs on!

I was banded on Dec 28 09 at CDH, my surgeon is the most negative rude and unpersonable man Ive ever met. This week on Wed I started to develop chest pain and tightness with taking a deep breath, food getting stuck and vomitting Thurs night. Saw Dr on Fri, first he said need an emergency upper Gi then he said oh u have stomach cramping, must be stomach flu. I feel like Ive been kicked in the stomach about 100 times, muscles are sore, everything hurts. I also have vertigo....not sure why? Im miserable. I miss being able to eat,,anything,,and Im scared. Is something wrong with the band? Whats the deal? Can anyone relate? Im down 20 lbs in almost 5 weeks. Oh,,I also DO not recommend CDH for your surgery!

I guess thats a dumb question on a support website. But is there anyone that is sorry? Or misses food? Or isnt losing weight? Im a 40 BMI, 39 yrs old and 230 lbs at 5'3. Scared as hell. Single, 11 yr old daughter. My mother is fat phobic and the older I get the heavier I get. I need to be healthy for my child and myself - but Im afraid Ill miss food, the texture, the taste?? How do u go out for dinner with friends? How do u drink liquids for 6 weeks????? And more???? I dont recognize myself in the mirror anymore - but yet I always opt for the cheeseburger. Thats a self control issue.....will I lose weight this way? Will I be strong enough? Anyone?????????????
