  1. When you finally get the benefit your have been waiting for from your most recent fill, Tell yourself, "I am doing this for me."
  2. When you are in bandster hell, Tell yourself, "I am doing this for me."
  3. When you aren't loosing as much as you want to, Tell yourself, "I am doing this for me."
  4. When chicken broth is a welcome change. Tell yourself, "I am doing this for me." by the way, I am officially a bandster April 21, 2009. I am home now and recovering nicely.
  5. I am glad you enjoyed it, Jim. Keep doing it for you.
  6. I just got back from meeting with my new surgeon and I am all re-scheduled for next Tuesday, April 21st. So a few more days of Slim-Fast heaven and I will be a bandster.
  7. I have an appointment with one of the surgeons' partners tomorrow and they will try and have him do it next week on Tuesday. It is local, but just disappointed.
  8. When the hospital calls at 6 am on the day of your surgery and tells you the surgeon can't perform the surgery that day, Tell yourself, "I am doing this for me." Seriously, tho. That happened to me this morning. Total bummer.
  9. Cristina, you so totally ROCK! That made my day on a day that I needed it. I am getting banded tomorrow and I am on clear liquids right now.
  10. I think popcorn is the one food that I hope I will be able to tolerate after I get banded (This Thursday April 16th.)
  11. When there is free leftover pizza in the break room, Tell yourself: "I am doing this for me."
  12. Kimo, I think this statement by itself indicates that you are not ready for bariatric surgery. I think that when you are ready to make a life-long commitment to eating right and maintaining a healthy weight then the surgery won't seem like something you have to "resort" to, it will be what you will decide is the best decision for your life. If you do decide to persue surgery, then make the committment to follow the doctor's instructions, stick with a program that they provide for you, and if you can't make the changes in your life, you will not be sucessful with a band. I really hope you find something that works for you and will allow you to take the weight off and keep it off.
  13. Losing weight is hard...Period. If it was easy everyone would be thin.
  14. When you have a kitchen table full of Easter Baskets full of candy, Tell yourself: "I am doing this for me."
