Has anyone had a leak in their band? I might have one but will not know for sure till next appt. Just wondering what they do if you have a leak. Thanks for any replies!
  2. Please do not wait, this happened to me a month ago, I called my Dr. and I had to go to the emergency room in rochester where I had my surgery. They had to take out the fluid in my band I was hurting so bad in my chest and vomiting couldn't even keep my saliva down. Call the hospital and have your Dr. paged. I went back after 2 weeks and he put the fluid back in. There was some food stuck and blocking everything going down. Good Luck!
  3. Don't be discouraged, you are doing great. That is an awesome weight loss. Sounds like your friends could be a little jealous. Same thing with me, I lost 45 so far and my own sister hasn't said anything to me about my loss. She only makes comments to other people about how I should have the band taken out. So I know what you are talking about I just try to ignore it but it hurts. Best of luck to you!
  4. Thank you Gilta, I am feeling better and am able to eat some solids but am very careful. I see the Dr. next week and hopefully getting a fill so I have better restriction.
  5. Has anyone had to have all the fluid taken out of their band? I had to a week ago because I couldn't keep anything down ended up in the emergency room. Seeing the Dr. next week and hopefully having a fill done. I am so hungry and not feeling any restriction at all and have gained 3 lbs back. So discouraged but I have lost 45 lbs since August so I am happy about that. Any replies would be appreciated!:cursing:
  6. I don't regret it at all, I have lost almost 50 lbs. since august 2008 and am feeling so much better. I have had a few episodes of vomiting but it was my own fault from eating too fast and too big of a bite. I am very careful now cause I don't want to vomit, it sure isn't pleasant at all.
  7. Hi everyone, I had a bad week ended up in emergency roon because of vomiting and bad chest pain. I couldn't even keep water down or my saliva. Dr. ended up taking out all my fluid in my band. Feeling much better have to see the doc in april to get a fill. Eating just soft foods right now because I am so afraid this happening again. The pain was so bad I thought I was having a heart attack. I guess something got stuck and was blocking anything going down. So just a warning, please take very small bites and chew very well I don't want anyone to go through what I did that nite. Best of luck!
  8. they did an xray and didn't see anything wrong but I have to see my Dr. on April1, I am doing much better now and am able to keep soft foods and liquids down. Thanks for your reply!
