  1. Hi Okla,, I couldn't believe it when I read your thread because I could have written it myself. I was banded in Jan 07 also and have only lost 5kg (I think 11 pounds) in that time. I had my 7th refill 3 weeks ago and now finally have restriction for the first time. Initially they were putting 0.2mls at a time in because they didnt know or rather didnt look in my file to see what type of band they had put in, which actually took up to 10mls not 4mls. Regardless as you say we still have to pay. Anyway I think I'm on track now and am treating this as if I have just been banded. Good luck and don't lgive up. I will be looking out for your progress. Take care mate:thumbup:
  2. I'M WITH YOU. Got banded 2 years ago and lost only about 5 kg in total, which I have been told is approx 11pounds. Started off correctly but was dieting and hungry. I became disheartened by it all and lost confidence stopped exercising. Had a refill 3 weeks ago now have restriction which I dont think I have ever had before so band must have been too loose. I am now starting over again and have lost 2 Kg in 3 weeks. So I am definitely willing to give it a go again. I am treating it now as if I have just been banded. Thanks for the thread
  3. I'm interested to know what people are eating, how often and how much?
  4. Thanks for the advice RM, I will consult my doctor re taking out some saline and yes I have been living on slider consistency foods, but have tried to make good choices with these. Guess I have become disheartened by it all,nd thought the band fills would be a quick fix. Will need to start all over again and make "the tool" work for me
  5. Hi, I was banded in Jan 2007 and have lost only 5 kg in the 2 years since. I have recently had my 7th band fill and have started to experience reflux and heart burn. I have had trouble keeping foods down at times and can only cope with foods with a soup consistency. Anybody have any suggestions as to what it could be. I would really appreciate the help.
