  1. I will be glad to help if you still need people.
  2. Congrats to you. I too am looking forward to the days when I can shop in a "regular" store. My husband is always joking that he is going to have to buy size 2 clothes. Mind you, he knows nothing about shopping but what a dream that would be. I didn't wear a size 2 when I was 12. Keep up the good work. Can't wait until I can post the same news. My band date is 3/24/09.
  3. Any suggestions how to make first few post op days as easy as possible, from your experience?
  4. Well, this is all very new to me, so I hope I am doing this right. I have been sitting and reading for the last 3 hours. I have been overweight my entire life. I was/am always bigger than my friends. I could never share any clothes, which was very depressing. I am so ready for a thinner and healthier me. I went to my first support group on February 23rd and my initial doctors appt was on March 4th. I also did the nutrition class and pysch appt on same day. Because I am a self pay I was able to schedule my surgery right away. I will be banded on March 24th. I very excited and getting nervous at the same time. I am very relieved that I have actually read that some people haven't had any problems. I am planning on going back to work on March 30th. Praying that all goes well. My surgeon is Dr. Hougen in Victoria, Texas. I will say I am a little nervous that I did not get the surgeon that I requested but they claim this guy knows what he is doing. Scarey!!! I suppose that is my story in a nutshell. Oh, I do go to the doctor on Friday, 20th for pre-op. I guess they will tell me if I need to go on liquid diet prior to surgery. I can't figure out how to add the ticker.
