  1. Hi, I am a new lap band patient. I had my lap band surgery Monday, March 9, 2009 and I'm a little scared. I have questions about a few things and thought I would look up support groups online. I find this site and I hope to meet other people who have had some of the same fears I have. I'm new to this and I'm not even sure if I'm posting right to this site. I am finding it hard to drink all the fluids that I am suppose to drink during the day but I'm doing my best to stick to the schedule. Also, I'm having gas alot which I ask the doctor while I was in the hospital if that was normal and he told me it was. I am going to quit for now and see how my posting did. I look forward to new friends and chatting with other lap band patients. Lori
