  1. Hi, nice to meet you. I had my first fill last week on March 4th. The day after I was to eat soft food and also thought that i don't feel a restriction. But after a couple more days I'm starting to feel more restriction. Also, there is a lot of burping involved. Are you experiencing that too? So, I guess for me, soft foods go down easy, but stuff like toast or shrimp, I definitely felt that. How much did your Dr. fill? I had 3ccs in a 14cc band. Plus, do you have a second fill scheduled?
  2. I didn't go to a seminar. I met with the Dr for the first time in July 08 and had the surgery in Jan 09. He was booked up until then, so I guess it could have been a little faster if his schedule had been different. About pregnancy: he told the story of a woman who announced she was pregnant at her first post op appointment, about 10 days after he placed the band. He said he didn't fill the band during the pregnancy and she had a beautiful baby. With an unfilled band you can eat close to normal. After the birth he filled her band and she started losing weight. I would imagine that if you become pregnant and your band is filled already, the doctor would take the fluid back out during the pregnancy.
  3. Hello everyone, I had lapband surgery on January 19, 2009, by Dr. Monash in Tucson, AZ. He's been wonderful. Had my first fill on March 4, 2009. 3ccs into a 14cc band, he said. I'm feeling a little restriction. Still getting used to the feeling and how to eat. But I'm being careful because I hate to get sick. So far it's been a good experience, I'm down 13 pounds since the surgery, and so far I can still eat just about anything, just less. Whenever I have a question, I keep coming back to this forum, so I finally registered. Have a wonderful day!
