  1. Best of luck! Just think in just a few hours it will be over and you'll be on the Bandwagon with the rest of us! It's normal to be nervous but they have some great meds for that! You'll do great!:w00t:
  2. I was banded on 8/7.After surgery I was on 4oz Clear liquids every hour to be sipped slowly I used broth, crystal light, sugar free Jello, diet cranberry juice.Starting on day 2 post op I was on 4oz clear liquid alternating with 4oz Protein shake. After 1 week I progressed to puree alt with 4oz Protein Shake every 2 hours.Hope that helps. Did you get instructions from the Dr. or the Dietician? The instructions can vary depending on the Doctor.
  3. Hang in there!I also was banded on Friday so I'm there with you. Just remember the reason we need to do this,so that we heal properly. We made it this far just a little bit longer. We can do it! Patti

  5. I was banded on 8/7 I have 5 incisions 3 are to the right of my belly button and 2 are to the left of my belly button they are small less than 1/2 inch except for the port site with is about 1 1/2 inches.I had gallbladder surgery a few years ago and these are very similar you can barley see them anymore,so my guess is these will probably be the same I am planning on getting some mederma to help.
  6. 30lbs since 6/3 is fantastic, your doing great.I know exercise can be tough especially when you first start.I know for me I have to push myself because it is so much easier to sit on the couch than it is to get up and moving but afterwards you feel so much better and everyday it gets easier and before you know it you'll actually want to exercise.Keep up the good work. Patti:biggrin:
  7. I had my surgery on 8/7 as far as the pain it was mostly the gas discomfort had some pain at the port site but now 4days out the pain is pretty much gone.I was scared too ,it's only natural, you'll do fine.i'm glad I did it no regrets here! Patti
  8. I was banded on 8/7 at Mercy Hospital in Springfield, MA.I am 3 days post op and feeling good most of the gas pain is gone I still have some pain at the port site.I took the week off from work but may go back early depending on how I feel.I'm pretty tired still may have some thing to do with only getting 4 oz of fluid every hour I am alternating 4oz protein shake with 4oz sugar free liquid ie crsytal light, sugar free popsicles, sugar free jello, broth,or water.I am not hungry at all Thank God!I did get on the scale my surgery day weight was 206 yesterday it was 208.5 and this am it was back to 206 I'm sureit was due to the fluids from the hospital the gas and bloating plus I was blessed with TOM this morning.Best wishes for a speedy recovery to all us August Bandits.
