  1. Hey everyone - just checking in. I am still doing good - I have lost close to 150 lbs so far. I am actually trying to slow things down a little because loose skin is starting to be an issue.
  2. This thread has slowed down quite a bit. I got a fill on 12/15 and for the first time, I really felt like it was working. I think I have lost about 25 lbs since that fill, but things are slowing down. I went ahead and scheduled another fill for this Thursday. I hope Brooke is careful to only add a little. I feel like now it will be easy to be too tight after a fill.
  3. I still get it from time to time - mostly if I eat too much. I find it a challenge to eat just enough to not be hungry before the next meal and not too much to cause the reflux.
  4. Hey! Anyone still out there? I am losing weight good right now. I am down about 20lbs since 12/15. I am not able to eat much and I am not hungry between meals most of the time. I actually for the first time canceled my monthly fill appt.
  5. I didn't there were any exercise restrictions after a certain point in time.
  6. Okay, little update on my indigestion - I think if I eat too much, I get the indigestion. I think I am having trouble mentally adjusting to how much I should eat. I feel like for the first time, I really need to watch how much I eat. I have noticed that I do not realize how full I am until later. Though I know this is what is supposed to happen, knowing and putting into practice are two seperate things:D I am actually very happy now that I finally feel like I am getting the help I wanted from the band. It is reassuring to know that it really does work. Until this point, I was starting to think that I seriously over estimated what the band would do for me. I am down 7-8 lbs from last Tuesday. Though I do not necassarily want to keep up that pace, it is a nice change of pace.
  7. Hey, thank you for the advice. I really do appreciate it. At this point it may be my own fault. I eat pretty fast, though not as fast as before the band, but until now, I have not had to follow much of the 'lap band guidance'. I feel like I need to start doing what I was doing in the few weeks after the surgery and eat slow and eat small amounts.
  8. With these last two fills, I have been getting indigestion every time I eat. Not heartburn, but the 'liquid on the stomach' kind. Is that normal?
  9. I have a fill appt. today at 1. Hope this is the one what will allow me to really control how much I eat. I think this is the 7th or 8th one. Surely I will get there soon. I am happy with my progress so far, but the last 3-4 months have been slow.
  10. Hey, good job so far. My doc is pretty conservative with the fills. I get them once a month and I think I have had 6 or 7. I feel like I need more fill. I definately eat less, but I tend to get hungry within 2-3 hours. From what they tell me, I need to consistently make it 4-5 hours between meals. I have lost 78 lbs so far(started at 422).
  11. Dang - I always forget about the meetings.Maybe I will remember next month.
  12. I went to the appt yesterday and was pleasantly suprised - I lost 13 lbs. I don't know what has changed. I feel like I am eating too much and too often, but I'll take it. This is the first fill where I can actually feel liquid pass slow. I cannot just guzzle water or gatorade like I usually do - it backs up and slowly dissipates. I ate scrambled eggs this morning(about two hours ago) and I still fill 'full' - I say that in quotes because it feels like its in my throat so it feels different than full - maybe thats the way it supposed to be? If this is restriction, then so be it. I am glad I finally have it.
  13. Adjustment appointment today at 1. Hope its the one.
  14. I only come to this thread and sometimes the Men's Room - what thread or place are y'all talking about?
  15. Punkster - I think you and I were getting a fill on the same day a couple of weeks ago. Not sure though. Speaking of stalling, I haven't lost any since July. I have been of the frame of mind that says if I bust my tail and push through the hunger in between meals and loose weight, I will skew what Dr. Ponce is looking at during each fill. I think he decides how much fill to proceed with based on weight loss and the couple of questions he asks when I walk in. I figure if I am losing weight, which I feel pretty confident I can, he will slow my fill down. I personally want to get to the point where I really cannot eat very much. I am still at the point where I can eat anything - nothing gets stuck, nothing is off the menu. I read about how people have issues with foods and I think that I don't have the issues because I do not have enought fill yet. With all that being said, I feel like I am gambling a little. I am worried that I may be going about this process the wrong way.
