Dr. Miguel Rojas is the surgeon I went to. I did have to make a visit to my own doctor when I returned because my incision over the port got infected so he put me on an oral antibiotic and the infection seems to be getting better. It was a local infection so it should clear up quickly. But this one incision seems to be a little sore....sure hope that clears up soon. How long are you supposed to be on liquids? My doctor told be 3 weeks but I'm seeing different lengths of time on this site.

I was banded on May 12 which has been 2 weeks. At first I couldn't take more than a few spoon fulls at a time but it seems the last few days I've become more hungry. So far I've lost 10 lbs. Good luck. Banded by Dr. Rojas on May 12

May 12 was the day I had my lap band so everything's new to me. After much research on the procedure and cost (since my insurance doesn't cover) I elected to go to Mexico to have mine done. I was pleased with the surgeons and facility. Now that I'm back I feel I need support from other people who have had the surgery or contemplating it. Just wanted to say hello. Patti
