  1. I was banded on 3/18/09 and was in the hospital for 3 days. I got pneumonia and the gas pains were sooooooo bad! I also had a fever and my blood pressure went down to 64/42!!! I was like, what the heck did I do!!??? now it has been 2 weeks - I still have gas and am vomiting, but I feel SO much better. It will get better - it just takes about a week of REST, walking, fluids and deep breathing. . . oh and gas x! Hope you feel better soon. I am not at 100% yet, but I am much better - there is a light at the end of the tunnel - and I lost 17 lbs in a week and a half.
  2. I too am having back pain (Banded 3/18/09). I am sure it is because our Core stomach muscles have been “attacked” from the surgery. Mine is also because I haven’t been able to sleep flat on the bed because of gas and lung issues I had after my surgery. Lots of different factors I guess. I am alternating ice and heat and keeping up with my Motrin. Also, if you have someone that can rub icy hot on your back – that has helped me too. Last night I finally was able to lay in bed flat on my back with pillows under my legs, I woke up in much better shape than the nights on the couch. J Hope your back starts feeling better soon! I know how uncomfortable it is!
  3. I am going to be banded Marh 18th! I am soooo exctited! It's a single incision procedure - so that's a plus.
