  1. Hi Kathy! I was banded 12/16/2008 and I too suffered nerve damage in my stomach. I actually didn't realize exactly how numb I was until the sensation started coming back. I finally felt a fill on Monday 3/23/2009 which was fill #3. Anytime skin is cut, you run the risk of nerve damage. All feeling should return by 18 months post-op as my surgeon explained it. My stomach sensation is returning and started to return about 6 weeks post-op. I have a small area that is still numb. Think of it this way, we're the lucky ones... we've been numb as we heal. :smile2:
  2. hey we were banded the same day 12/16/2008 with the Realize band. I currently have had 2 fills. The first was 4 cc and the second was 1 cc total of 5 ccs. I have hardly any restriction. I begged for 2 ccs last Friday, but my doctor is conservative. (which is why I picked him). I notice that I lose more depending on my exercise habits.
  3. Hello everyone! I'm Jennifer, 31, from oHIo. I was banded on 12/16/2008 from Kettering Bariatrics with the ABSOLUTE best surgeon, Dr. Schumacher. I am 2 months post-op and I've lost 22 pounds. I know what the scale says, but let me tell you from the exercise, I definately notice a difference in my body. I've hit a frustrating point and looking for some motivation and guidance. I look forward to talking and sharing with everyone! Have a wonderful day
