  1. I loved this! Isn't it funny how sometimes we can completely forget that We are important too? You can so easily lose yourself trying to fix everyone's problems around you. Kudos to you for finding YOU and finding out how important You are!! Well Done... Traci *starting weight - 253 lbs *goal weight - 135 lbs *banded Feb. 2009 *lost so far - 75 lbs * 43 lbs to go *
  2. Hi there Patti..I am right there with you. I was banded on Feb. 20th and am scheduled for my first fill Mar. 20th. I have lost 17lbs. since starting the pre-op diet. I've read on here that we are basically in 'Band-ster Hell' at this point, meaning After Surgery, but Before First Fill. I have to agree. I am actually having more trouble at this point being on mushy food than I had when on the liquids. It just seems harder finding good quality mushy foods, plus I feel so much better now that I have healed so much from surgery, and having no restriction yet, I am tempted with Bad food choices. I am staying on track as much as I can though. How are you doing with all of that?
  3. Can't wait to make this one! It sounds innocently sinful! =)
  4. I know exactly how you feel. I am being banded Tomorrow! I am excited and scared to death. I am scared about the surgery itself as well as the life style change to come. I hope I can achieve my weight-loss goals. I have considered backing out several times as the time draws near....then I remember that #1 Not everyone has this opportunity #2 I have waited years to be able to do this #3 I want the life, the health, the energy, the self esteem, that the lapband can help me achieve #4 I want to be around for my kids and my husband #5 I want to be able to get on that roller coaster and not feel that I'm too fat to do it #6 I want to sit in an airplane seat and not have to ask for a seatbelt extender #7 I want to walk a flight of stairs and not feel like I'm gonna die when I finally reach the top # I want to LIVE...not stand to the side and watch everyone else doing the things I want to do. I wish you luck on this journey. Before you think about backing out...ask yourself why you wanted to do this in the first place. That seemed to help me. You Can Do This...Have Faith!
