  1. I just want to say how inspiring all of your stories are. It is so nice to know that we are all in this together. Most of us are experiencing the same emotions and that makes me feel more normal. I don't feel like I'm the only one and that's real nice. Praise God for this awesome opportunity for a new and improved life, a healthy life.
  2. Hi all! I am scheduled for the 13th. I am SO nervous now. It's really, really close. I am reading a lot about pre-op diets. I have my list of do's and don'ts, I have to avoid red meats, lettuce and leafy vegetable for the week before the surgery, and I have to be on full liquid for the day before surgery and that's it. I just feel worried that I am missing something or I am going to forget about something. Starch free, no sugar, take the meds, get your water, exercise, don't forget to pack the the gas-x, tylenol only! Whew! Anyone else feeling that way? And I would love to hear what your pre-op diets are.
  3. Wow! You have done really awesome!
  4. Who else is ready? I have been waiting since January to get this done. I chickened out a couple of years ago and didn't go through with the surgery. This time I am so ready. I've weighed 238 at my highest and am now at 228. Not as much weight loss prior to surgery as I would have liked. Hoping to lose 100 lbs with the surgery. Wow, what a change that will be! I am definitely going to support groups to assure my mind is following along with the program.
