  1. I understand how you feel. I am getting banded on the 22nd and I started my pre op diet on Easter. It is not only liquids, but it is very restrictive. I have had some major hungry episodes. I just keep reminding myself that it will all be worth it! You can do it, just get back on track. Some people don't even have a pre op diet, which I don't understand, but I figured if I am gonna do something this drastic I need to go by the book and do what my surgeon wants me to do. Good luck to you!!! You will be fine!
  2. I'm so confused about the pre op dieting. Some people have 2 week liquid only diets and some don't. I start my pre op diet 10 days before surgery and it is not a liquid only diet. I am THRILLED about this, but at the same time I wonder why some are and some are not. I am allowed to have fat free ham turkey or chicken, yogart, canned fruit in light syrup, popcicles, protein shakes, broth, crystal light, cottage cheese. I wonder why different places have different pre-op diets for the same surgery???
  3. Congrats to you as well. I feel like I have been waiting FOREVER for my new life to begin. I am so nervous, excited, anxious....My name is Jackie by the way, I am 5 feet tall and 240lbs. Goal weight is 140. I start the pre op diet on Easter. No Easter goodies for me, but oh well!!! It will be well worth it!!! good luck to you!
  4. Hi! Congrats on getting a date. I am also getting banded on April 22nd!!
