Hi, I have a friend who is considering having the VSG with Dr. Aceves. I told her about the wonderful experience I had with my surgery with Dr. Aceves, so I think that is one of the main reasons she is going to him. Well I ask her to do her own research and make sure that the VSG and Dr. Aceves was a good fit for her. The problem she has with that is she has no computer at home, and her work computer is blocked from any Internet Surfing. So she cannot visit Vertical SleeveTalk.com, OH, or Dr. Aceves yahoo group, etc. to do her own research. She is going to her PCP on Friday, to get his thoughts on her going to Mexico for VSG surgery, so she needs all the help and information we can give her to pass along to him. I am hoping that some of you could email her at her work email address and tell her about your surgery experience with Dr. Aceves and traveling to Mexico. JUST MY TWO CENTS WORTH. This is a new VSG website. Not sure who is in charge on here. Just think if you want to build this site up, and make people feel welcome, then I would suggest that the moderators, keep people from attacking other posters. When patients post about their experience they don't want to have to worry about another poster belitting them, etc. What happened here was WRONG!!! I had surgery with Dr. Aceves. Maybe some on here like him, maybe some do not. That's ok with me, but please don't attack me when I post about my surgery experience and my hospital stay. I am just telling my VSG SURGERY STORY. Not suggesting what Dr. for someone to use. They need to do like I did an research and make their own decision. Not sure I will be back to your new site. Afraid if I post I might say or do the wrong thing, and be treated like this poster. There was no call in it, as she did not say, hey all you thinking of sugery go to my Dr. he is the best. She was only telling about her surgery and her experience. Good Luck with your new website. At this RATE YOU ARE GOING TO NEED IT!!!!!

Hi if anyone on these boards have had VSG surgery with dr. verboonen or dr. Ponce de leon, please contact me and let me know what your experience was. I am trying to research their practice and find out more about them before I make my final decision to let the do my VSG surgery. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Hi thinking about getting Lap-band surgery, but my insurance does not cover any type weight loss surgery. So thinking about going to Mexico. I would like to hear from people who have been there and how it went for them. Thinking of using Dr. Ortiz. Also any suggestions for getting financial help? Thanks for your time and help.
