  1. I just found out my insurance company (Coventry) does not cover any type of weight loss surgery. So, I won't be getting surgery - thanks for the information.
  2. Well, I just found out my insurance doesn't pay for ANY type of weight loss surgery, so it's just a moot issue for now. I appreciate the information and I wish you all the very best of luck with your weight loss.
  3. One of the centers that offers bariatric surgery charges a fee of $2500.00 for the support group, nutritionists, exercise center, etc. It says right on the website that the fee is NOT billed to insurance and is due in cash on the day of the consultation. Is this type of fee normal?
  4. Why were the reasons you were turned down initially and how did you finally get it approved? Thanks.
  5. I am new here and I would like to know if anyone has been successful getting approved with Coventry insurance. This is also the first time I've seriously considered lap band surgery. Would anyone have any surgeon suggestions in Maryland? Thanks!
