Had lap on 12-31-2013. I lost lbs the 9 days before surgery and to date post today I had lost 17 more. I had first fill of 4 cc's on feb 11 but honestly do not feel any restriction and feel hungry often 21/2 -3 hrs after eating????? have began to go to the YMCA and exercise but is it normal not to feel restriction after a fill? I am sort of disappointed about the weight I have lost.

Hello I am a newbie and had my first fill yesterday ( lap band done on 12-31-13) My stomach has given me some discomfort today since starting soft foods again. I am curious myself what comes next? Will this discomfort eventually stop once I am a few days out from a fill or am I doing something wrong like maybe eating to fast or too much, I have had soup and oatmeal today with 2 Snacks of a no sugar pudding cup. I don't know if this is NORMAL or what can someone help please!

about medicare paying all for lapband don't you still pay a deductable and what if u have medicare advantage ppo plan , any info on what u pay with that???

Newme, thanks replying to my thread. I live in LOUISVILLE,KENTUCKY and the hospital is Saints Mary and Elizabeth, does that help.

:w00t: Can someone, anyone help PLEASE!!!!! I am sooo confued and have not even actually gotten started yet for Lap band surgery. I live in Louisville, very close to St Mary's hospital which I hear good things about their Bariatric Center. I have Anthem/Medicare PPO, has anyone else had surgery there and maybe Anthem and Medicare,info would be greatly appricated as to what your upfront costs would be and possibly the total you will be left to pay Doc,Hosp,etc. Velma

:scared2: Hello,is there anyone that has Anthem Medicare preferred in louisville,ky? It is Anthem with Medicare intergrated, I am on disability. Does anyone know what docs in louisville,ky accept this and know if this insurance will cover, i would appreciate any info anyone can give.
