  1. I am just starting on this journey. I have an appointment with Dr Chris Dyas in Mobile on Monday May 15. I was suppose to go on the 8th but they called and cancelled that appointment. What a bummer that was.:cry Just another week to wonder if I am a good candidate or not. I feel like he is a good Doc, have read a lot about him and his cousin is my ortho doctor and I would trust him with my life in a heart beat.
  2. Katazann, I also have UHC and was wondering what sort of things does UHC require before they approve surgery? Thanks
  3. I was born and raised in the DEEEP South! We call it LA. That stands for Lower Alabama. I'm sure I will have more questions later. It is great to have a fantastic husband isn't it?:clap2:
  4. I am new to the idea of LAP BAND. I am still researching, but I do have an appointment with a doctor next Monday. I was researching a few months before my ortho doctor told me that I should consider having WLS. I just don't know if it is going to be ok because of my age. I am no spring chicken anymore. I have learned a lot lately, but still have a lot of questions for the DOC Monday. My husband is very supportive, don't know about the kids, I have mentioned it to them but no response. I will appreciate all the info I can get from this forum.
