  1. I think this depends on the surgeon, in my case they wanted us to go on a atkins type diet 2 weeks prior to the surgery. They were not as concerned with us loosing weight as much as they were shrinking our livers. I actually ended up gaining 3 lbs before my surgery but my surgeon didn't care, my liver was not enlarged so that was all he was concerned about.
  2. Hey guys, I had my band put on on January 8, 2008. I haven't had any trouble with anything (other than gas) really. I am just a week and one day into this but am already not feeling much restriction when eating. I am worried because i really haven't eaten much but don't seem to be loosing any weight at all. I hope this is normal. I joined the hospitals support site but not a lot of people post on there much. I am hoping this one is better.
