Thanks WasBB. I believe these posts is all about giving guidance to the person considering the VSG rather than what dr is more agreeable to either of us. The VSG rocks irrespective of DRs, As long as they are good at the procedure!

i planned on having the lapband and posted my question right here, thanks to MacM and WasaBB, they steered me towards the VSG....No regrets whatsover...i am 2 days post op and loving my sleeve! I had it in Mexico with dr Alvarez and he is fantastic....i had my leak test yesterday and was excellent results. I would advise that u get the VSG over the lapband....it's a thousand times better!!! I hope this helped!

Hi Macmadame, How much weight did u loose on the lapband before changing to the sleeve? Which is more painful? I hear there is a good doctor in san antonio...any ideas anyone?

I am afraid the doctor I am in contact with does not do the 'sleeve'. He recommended the Bypass which I believe is too invasive. Do you know of any doctors in Houston that do the sleeve? Dr Kuri in Mexico would have been a good choice but I do not have a visa to mexico.

Thanks for your post aceduece. Any updates? I am still undecied on whether to do the lapband or go for the sleeve. I live out of country hence the aftercare/fills will require my travelling to the US. I do not have any fills doctor within a 6hr flight range. How are you now? any complications? please share your story.

Hi All, I am new and considering having the lapband in a few weeks. I am trying to decide between Spiegel and Spivak. After care is really important to me. I am also from out of country and wondering if there is anyone out their from Africa.
