I know! I don't know what to do, I have a school function on the 11th Feb and my pre-op is meant to start on the 9th...Maybe I could start 2 days later. I should probably ring and see what they say! I'd dreading that part but also looking forward to my new life with confidence! Please God all will go ok! At least we can compare notes! All the very best Emma

How are you feeling about it all? Have you started your pre-op fluids diet! Im dreading that part - 2 weeks without food - could be hellish!!! I'm in Dublin, Ireland. X

Are any of you nervous! I feel sick everytime I think of it! I'm terrified that something will go wrong and I leave 4 beautiful children and a lovely husband behind me! I wish it was over! I can't wait to be able to look good again and shop in normal sized shops! I've no confidence and hate myself at the moment! I just cant wait to feel better about myself! Ah thanks for that Ro! Well done on your weight loss! I am really nervous that something with go wrong! I have 4 small children that depend on me and a lovely husband...I suppose because I am electing to have this surgery it makes it harder...Was the pre-op fluids diet awful? Were you able to function on it?!!! Afterwards was it really sore? Are you hungry after you have it done for those 2 weeks... I met the surgeon and am very happy! Booked in for the end of the month! Did you tell people you were doing it? What was the worst part of it? Id rather go prepared if you know what I mean! Thanks so much for responding! Em X

Hi all I have an appt with a surgeon in the beacon hospital at the end of this month for a lap band? Would love to talk to anyone whos had one so that I go prepared to meet the doctor... I'm married with 4 kids and have gained 7 stone since my last child...I just cant shift it and I have tried everything! I had lost 7 stone with WW but just can't get it together this time to do it.... So hoping this will sort me for life!!!! Any advice would be hugely appreciated! Thanks Em X
