  1. I was banded on Oct 15th. Had my surgery at 4 pm and was up walking at 4 am the next morning, I also walked several times before my discharge at 3. And have tried to walk around my house quite a bit. I haven't had any real gas pain. I have expelled a bit, but that's not been uncomfortable. I also have had minimal pain meds. I think that has been helpful as well. WALK< WALK< WALK as much as you can. That will help more than anything. Good Luck
  2. Being banded Oct 15th in Louisville, KY. I am so excited and can't wait to start this journey to a healthier me. Good luck to all October Bandsters.
  3. This is AWESOME! Got the call today...............and my surgery date is Oct. 15th. I am so excited. I have been working toward this since March 20th. I can't wait for the thinner woman inside me to emerge. Love to all!!!!!!
  4. Thanks, Kells. I sure appreciate your input. I was beginning to get tooooooo focused on losing weight that I was not preparing myself for the mental change prior to surgery. I won't have a meeting with the dietician or psychologist for 3 more months. I can't wait to strt getting mt head ready. Continued good luck to you in your new lifestyle. And again, thanks for the encouragement.
  5. Kellster, I am new, and have just started my 6th month supervised weight loss. I am a little confused about that process. My insurance doesn't require any weight loss thru the 6 month process. My PCP has put me on a low fat diet. (If I could follow one, I woulnd't need surgery). So I am a bit confused. What diet did you follow for your 6 months?
