Congrad's on ur surgery & proud of you I'm supposed to go May 18th to Dr Zapata. Can you tell me about his pain meds. I read that he doesn't give any. Please tell me that he atleast give you Tylenol 3. Please. I can't even deal with a pain of a headache. Not that I ever have any pain. But I'm worried if I'm in pain I want something.

I talk to Dr Zapata office today and they said the same thing that it was safe. But now I hear that when you come back into the states their are screening peolpe that come from other countries. I don't have mind until May 18th so I'm going to wait a week or two. But if it as bad as the say it is I'm sure I'll reschedule

Thank Wasa for your reply any info really helps. I'm so nerous and afraid. I've only had surgery one time and that been 24 yrs ago and it was a c-section. Now the talk of the swine flu that's scary too.

I still haven't got banded even tho I did make an appointment in Jan 2009 for May 18th,2009. Now I'm worried about the swine flu. Then I read that the dr in Monterrey a Dr Zapata doesnt' give you pain medicine I can't handle pain. Sooo I'm having second thoughts. Anyone know anything about Dr Zapata

oh yeah Jachut I going down for a wedding on the May 23rd to McAllen,TX. My husband and myself is going down in our motorhome the 15th and will be getting on a bus from McAllen to Monterrey. But I guess that's the same as getting on a plane. Since I was down there I thought I'd kill 2 birds with one stone. (so to speak)

Hello California 29, I'm supposed to be band by Dr Zapata the 18th of May. Did you say they gave you no or little pain meds? I don't want to be in pain I may have to change my mind about this. I'm have no room for pain. How did you like Dr Zapata and his staff? Was they as nice as everyone said they was. I'm gonna be in a wedding the 23rd of May in McAllen and going to be down there for that so I thought might as well go to Monterrey too. I'm from Ms but having 2nd thoughts now. Another things was you worried about getting the Swine Flu.

I too am scared I want to do it but the prices..... That out of pocket pay is a killer. Where are you having your done? I'm considering Mexico. But worried about is it safe.
