  1. Hi! This is Space Guy! I was banded on 12/30/08. My situation seems great so far. No pain, and not hungry. I admit I was bored with the liquids, clears, surgery, clears, liquids.... I tried mashed potatoes last night, and all was fine, even though it was only a small portion... I have a long journey ahead of me, but, I know that this is only a tool, and I have to use it to make a big difference for me! To all: Keep up the good work, and I hope you achieve your goal!
  2. I am sure that there are several good Doctors in the Houston area. As for me, I am down in the Clear Lake Area, and found that Dr. Michael Story was the best! I was banded on 12/30/08, and have had no problems.....
  3. Hello all! This is space guy.... I was banded with a realize band on 12/30/08. Getting ready for a new life! My doctor is Dr. Michael Story, and he is over on FM1959(Dixie Farm Rd.) at Hwy. 3. He has been doing the surgery for quite some time, and, I HIGHLY recommend him! The surgery was performed at the Doctors Outpatient Hospital in Pasadena, and, I can say that they are the best! I guess for me, the hardest part so far is the full liquids, and having my band tell me I am full... I received my first sense last night, with a bit of uncomfort in the upper stoma... As far as any other problems, I have had none, and am thankful for that. Anyway, glad to see an area for those of us down in the clear lake area... Good Luck to all!!
