  1. Has anyone successfully received OHIP coverage for their banding? or has anyone in Canada in another province received coverage for their banding from their Provincial Insurance Plan? Can anyone share their Insurance advice with me? I have already been banded. (13 April 06).
  2. Hello, I am Kacey and not only have I recently been banded, I am new to using the computer, so please bear with me. I live in Kanata, Ontario home of the Ottawa Senators for any of you who are hockey fans. I am 44, married with no children(just the sweetiest little pussycat in the whole wide world). I was banded April 13th 2006 at the Toronto LapBand Center. Dr. Joffe and Dr. Yau were my surgeons. cost tax incl. $17,500. My pre-op weight was 357 which was the beginning of March 2006. As of today I am 312. I am happier, healthier and enjoying my new life.
