  1. We should have all had our surgery by now! How is everyone healing, feeling, loosing?? What stage of the diet are you on? I thought it would be cool to have a thread where we can all keep our weights to track our progress. I would be more than happy to keep it updated.
  2. Ohhh That sounds good! Thanks!
  3. That sounds good. Everything I make has to be the consistancy of applesauce. I just did some refried beans and added a little chicken broth and blended it in the food processor, then I stuck it in a baking dish sprinkled some cheese on top and melted that. Then i put a small dollop of sour cream. It was good  Nice to eat something with protein!
  4. Its amazing how fast you start to feel good isn't it? I just wish I could find some good foods to eat. I am suppose to go to pureeds in 2 days, but I think I might start a bit early. LOL Its only 2 days right?
  5. I am on purees for two weeks now and I am lost! It sounds like purees aren't mushies but they aren't liquids either! It says everything I eat has to be put in the blender or the food processor until it is applesauce-like consistency! I need recipes!! HELP!!!!
  6. Hey! Guys with the ticker problems, choose the site that you want to use, I am using tickerfactory.com but there are others. It gives you a code and you copy and paste it into your signature by using the User CP above, then going to Edit Signature. Let me know if you have more problems! I am glad that there is getting to be a little group of us I am totally struggling with the food... nothing liquid sounds even edible to me! I had a major problem, on Wednesday I think, I started getting the feeling that I was going to throw up, then for hte next 3 days I had the full on Flu! Let me tell you, that is NOT fun when your stomach just went through major surgery and you are trying to throw up nothing! It was the worst week of my life as far as physical pain goes! Anyway... I am doing better now, finally starting to feel normal again. What about you guys??
  7. I totally feel you. I am still on liquids, then next week I'm on pureeds. I have acutally had the FLU ontop of recovering, let me tell you this has been the WORST week of my life. But anyway, yeah, I feel you with protein. I could use suggestions too! I can't stand the Isopure I bought. BARF!
  8. I am totally in the same boat as you. In my chest and throat there is this awful pressure, but I too can't burp. I would say that its definatly gas. Yesterday I sort of broke the rules and made really really runny mashed potatoes...so i could put pepper on something and make it taste normal. The fact that most of the liquid diet is sweet is killing me. It was hamburgers and fries that got me to this position, not candy.
  9. The weight gain is fine, when you have an IV you are pumped full of fluids which can make you gain water weight, it did that to me too, no worries. I have been in alot of pain too, I had surgery on Friday and today is the first day it hasn't been as bad. Its still hurts though, for me its been my throat and gas pains. Hang in there, it can only get better right?
  10. Anyone else try infant gas drops? I tried some of those last night and it seemed to help a bit!
  11. I don't know why my throat is so sore... I don't know if it is from being intubated or what. I am 3 days post-op and the pain comes and goes, sometimes its mild but sometimes its really bad. It feels like someone is blowing a balloon in my throat. Did this happen to anyone else? Any suggestions on how to avoid it would be much appreciated!
  12. I didnt' even know this thread was over here... I thought we just had the other group! Why do we have two??
  13. Find anything good that is worth sharing?
  14. Yeah I felt that way the night before (thursday) and yesterday before my surgery. Like thinking...WTH am I doing? I can do this on my own. But as the scale tells me, obviously I can't. I am glad that I went through it, the pain isn't too bad and it will all be worth it.
  15. Yay!!!!! :tongue_smilie:
  16. YAY!! I am totally excited, but nervous, but excited! :tongue_smilie: WOO HOO!!!!
  17. How are you doing? Are you getting excited for the big day?
  18. Any other bandsters going tomorrow?? WOO HOO!
  19. Glad it could help! How are you feeling?
  20. Hey Ladies! I am so excited for you all! It sounds like you are all doing wonderfully!!! Congrats!
  21. Congratulations! One week from tomorrow for me, I can't wait! I hope that things go smoothly. I am glad you could think of your window to make you feel better! Good luck on your journey!
  22. Well awesome ! I know that has got to be hard doing both things at once, but you will be so much better for it!!
  23. Yeah, my doctor said he uses that for people who he wants to loose weight before, but that I didn't have to. I still want to do it for a bit to prepare. Woo hoo! We are twins :w00t: YAY
