Wear all the cute bra and panty sets from Victoria Secret:blushing: 3. I tore my acl and meniscus in my right knee and I want to be able to walk or run for long periods of time without it hurting or slipping. 2. To be in shape 1. Well, I said I would try to keep everyone updated more often, its not working out as well as I planned. :blushing:A lot of things have been going on with me emotionally with life lately. I feel like I may be trying to do too many things at once. I decided to promise myself that I will try-- key word here..."Try" to let things go and not let so much get to me. :crying:I realize that, that is what is holding me back on my happiness. I let too many things get to me, work, friends, family.. I spend all my extra time trying to make other happy and I realized I don't know how to make me happy. So that's my new thing is to start focusing on me first. Ok enough of my dramatics, I had my first fill on monday! I have a 10 cc band and they put 3.5ccs in. Ok so I'm sure everyone wants to know how it was. Well first off, it hurt! The needle is about 4 inches long and the width of a 14 gauge peircing needle! It hurt going and and coming out! Well the positive thing was I got to watch on the x-ray machine everything that was going on and I found out that the actual band is right under my breast bone, which makes sense because when I gets stuck thats where I feel it. They of course made me drink barium again to make sure everything was going down fine. That stuff is so nasty. All in all it lasted about 10 mins and I'm so glad that it's only once a month! I was on liquids all day monday and mushies yesterday. Today I get start soft foods but I do feel it a little, the restriction that is. I'm still learning to chew, chew, chew. Oh and I'm down 25 lbs!! So thats my march update!

  4. :lol:You're so sweet to hold the trophy for me, the true winner!
  5. Well it looks like i win again....sorry losers!!
  6. Iwalktheline, I technically only lost 16lbs post op too. I lost 9 of mine during the pre-op. Don't get discouraged! We're all doing great!!!!
  7. That fill hurt! Maybe I'm just a baby, but it stung really bad. I don't feel a difference yet but that may be because I was on liquids yesterday and I start pureed food today. My doctor was the one who told me to get the fill, in fact all his patients are to come in on their 4 week post op to get filled. Congrats to you too Babe on your 25lbs!!
  8. So I got my first fill today and I'm the winner!! lol
  9. Good Morning Everyone! Well I got my first fill today and honestly, it kinda hurt a little. I got 3.5 ccs and I have a 10 cc band. So I'm back on liquids today and its not so bad and my total weight loss is 25 lbs!! Yay! I'm down to 222 as of today! I guess me getting strict after that cake helped.
  10. Hey Ashley, Well you just got banded so you probably won't feel any restriction yet. Most people have no Fluid or very little fluid in their band to start off. This time until your first fill is meant for healing. Be careful you're still making the right food choice, eating Proteins first and not drinking anything 30 mins before and after eating a meal. It should take you about 20-30 mins to eat too. I am the same way right now, I feel like I can eat anything except if I don't chew well I do PB a little. I get my first fill next week and to be honest these last two weeks I haven't lost anything. I blame some of the poor food choices I made and that I'm not as active right now. Just be really careful and try to follow what your surgeon says. (key word there "try") Good luck to you!
  11. Good morning! Just wanted to let ya'll know.... I'm the winner!!!
  12. Going to work as the winner!!
  13. I won't because I'm the winner!! he he
  14. You're both so right. I'm also guilty of lying to myself that the band would be a quick fix for me and I just got my band 3 weeks ago! I know crazy:blush:. Thank you for posting your pep talk. I think I'mma have to save this to my computer and read it everytime I get discouraged. And congratulations on your weight loss so far!
  15. That has happened to me too, but for me I think I was eating too fast. My doctor said when moving to solid foods that meats should be moist to help with it going down. I'm not trying to accuse your chicken of being dry:tongue2: but that could've also been a possiblity. Oh and check out my new pic I posted of my scars
  16. I'm the one.... the only..... WINNER!!!!
  17. Yea mine is scheduled next monday. I'll let everyone know how it goes!
  18. OMG yes!! I'm always hungry! I try my best to eat right and eat slowly but like right after work or during lunch I tend to eat quickly because of the time and end up losing half of it. I don't know... I hope it gets better.
  19. When is your fill? (this question is for everyone)
  20. Wow that is so encouraging!! Thank you! And congrats on your 30lbs! one more week until my first fill!!!
  21. Well Babe I'm right there with you. I gained weight and lost it and now I've been going back and forth between 230 and 226. This morning I weighed in at 226 but I guarantee if I weigh myself tonight it'll be like 228/229. I was told we're not suppose to stress on weight loss during this time because we're supposed to be focused on healing.... easier said than done lol, I can't help but weigh myself everyday lol. We'll just be frustrated together!
  22. Lol I know what you mean. Also to comment on the everyone asking how much weight you loss, I at first was very proud to admit that I got my band but now I feel I shouldn't have said it. My DH is an army recruiter and all the wives and girlfriends in his station are all teeny tiny women. This past weekend we went bowling and I felt like all of them were just looking at me to see if I lost anything. I really wanted to say something like, its not magic you know?? And it hasn't even been a month yet. It is frustrating.
  23. Happy Sunday to my lovely losers! Its me! The winner!!!
  24. Well my doctor said to take it easy until the first fill basically just walking. I think you will be fine to start of just walking. Plus it will help with your healing process. Just be careful.
