  1. I have not even scheduled an appt yet, but I have been reading up on lap band surgery and I am pretty sure it is what I will do. I am about 80lbs overweight and am 40 years old. My bmi is in the 30's (high enough to be considered morbidly obese but i forget the #). I am on cpap. I am a mom, wife, artist, student and I need to lose the weight but always feel like crap, hungry, low blood sugar....etc I have pcos. My insurance covers lap band bariatric surgery --- (but not weight watchers btw) I had a bad reaction to anesthesia once before and I am so scared to have another surgery. I have a 5 year old daughter and I am afraid to die in surgery. I am not afraid of what comes after, just the surgery and living to tell about it. Is there a site with actual numbers etc - risks... Thanks! A in eugene oregon
