  1. Hi everyone! I was banded on the 16th and I am either very lucky or a tough ole bird! lol I have had minimal gas pains, mostly in the shoulder area and not needed pain meds. I used heating pad and the gas ex strips on Monday only. Today I was out and about.
  2. Hi Walk I know how you are feeling. I was just banded on Friday and by Thursday last week I was a wreck! When I was in pre op my foot was twitching a mile a minute, the nurse asked if I had to go to the bathroom! I said no it's just nerves, my shoulders are up to my ears as well! LOL But I have to say, and I know this is early still, but for me it was really not bad. Friday night I had a popsicle and walked the halls at the hospital a few times. The only pain meds I had was a shot of toradol they gave me on Friday night, I have not had any meds since. I had no nausea either. I wish you the best! Sue
  3. Thank you both who are post op day 2 for your posts, good to hear good experiences. I am scheduled for Jan 16 and am getting anxious. I start the liquid diet tomm.
  4. Hi everyone I am new to this site, live in Salem and was excited to see a Mass. group! I am scheduled on 1/16/09 and about to begin the pre op diet on Friday. I am open to any guidance and/or support you "experienced" banders can give me.
  5. Hi everyone, This is my first post, I just joined tonight. I start my pre op diet on Jan 2 and my surgery is Jan 16th. On Friday night I had this mini "panic" come over me. That this is getting real and am I doing the right thing. The same feelings as you. I guess I am scared of the problems that "could" happen, mostly. I do have a feeling that our feelings are common though and we will be glad we did this after the fact.
