  1. I have the Mirena IUD and it's been over 4 years. I LOVE it. I haven't had an actual period this whole time. I have some spotting every few months that a pantyliner takes care of.....but it's no period. No side effects either. Wonderful. I've had children, but that's been almost 20years.
  2. I called them...my info package is on the way!
  3. Thanks for all of this great information! I seriously had no idea! C
  4. She is who I want to see. Wow, I guess I really don't know anything about the process. I thought I could get an appointment to talk about it before i got things rolling! I will give the office a call this week. Have you been dealing with her office?
  5. Hi! My momma always said "Nothing tastes as good as skinny feels" too! C
  6. I have been lurking for a little while and I am seriously considering the lap band. I had an appointment with my regular Doctor today and let her know I was thinking about this. She was pretty encouraging, but gave me the advice that I should start exercising now since I am not and that I should probably get to eating better now so that it will be easier later. She told me that the successful patients she has had do this are the ones that made a commitment to exercise too. I think that's pretty good advice. I have read so many great things on this website. I have also tried to see some of the negative too so I can have balanced information. I will be making an appointment with a local bariatric doctor in the next few weeks for more in depth information. My BMI is 47 (cause I'm a shortie!) and I don't think I will have trouble qualifying for the procedure and I think my insurance will cover some, if not all of it too. Gonna check into that too. Just thought I would introduce myself and get back to lurking  C
