  1. Hope you are feeling well. I am one day ahead of you, and I can tell you that each day makes a difference. I was never feeling bad- but today I am starting to feel like myself. I plan to call the Doctor tomorrow and can hopefully start on mushy foods. I am starting to get hungry!!
  2. Thanks for responding- I am 5 days post op now and starting to get hungry- nothing but jello and carnation instant breakfast. I call my doctor tomorrow and hopefully will get to start the 2nd phase of mushy foods. I still find it odd that the Dr. or nurse never called- I know that it is the holiday- but you would think that they would have an interest in your condition. When i call in the morning I plan to ask them about their procedures- it does not give me much confidence.
  3. I was banded on 12/23/08- so I am 3 days post op. I am glad that I found this forum because it has answered so many questions that I had. Thanks to all for sharing their experiences. I have not had too much pain, just some soreness which seems to get better with each passing day. I am glad that I can rest for the next week before I have to go back to work. Started to feel a little bit hungry today. I am nervous that it will get worse before I can progress to the next stage of mushy food. Right now I am just on liquids, sf Jello and carnation instant Breakfast with skim milk. 3 more days to go. I went from eating whatever I wanted to nothing- It's like going through withdrawl. It is so hard because I love food. But I don't like what the food has done to me. So it is time for a new start, new habits - I just hope I can do it
  4. Hi- my name is Leslie and I had my surgery on 12/23/08. My recovery has been going well so far, just feel soreness, but no real pain. I have been drinking water, eating jello and carnation instant breakfast. Today is the first day that the smell of food has made me think about eating. I have stayed out of the kitchen completely and am nervous to go in. My doctor has not called to check in with me since the surgery- is this normal? I have not had any problems, but I do feel like someone should have checked in to see how I was doing.
