  1. Wonderful, good luck on your weight loss. I am so glad to know you are okay.
  2. If you are getting full on the amount of food you say you are eating it doesn't sound like a line/port disconnect. Could be just a stitch as previously suggested by someone. Don't worry! Sounds like it is working okay, just go to your doctor when you can. In the meantime keep doing what you are suppose to. Sounds like it will be okay. Please keep me posted. :cry
  3. If you are able to eat and drink more than usual most likely your tubing has separated from your port. This is an easy fix but you need to call your physician. I had my band put in Feb 05 and my port has developed a leak and I am able to eat and drink everything. Not sure if the leak is in the port or at the connection of the tubing to the port. I will be going back in surgery at the end of this month. I can't believe your were filled during surgery. Most patients wait up to 6 weeks before their first fill in order to allow the band to settle and heal. You performed your surgery? Good luck and let us know what happened.
  4. I have been banded for 18 months. He said the saline over a long period of time could form into gas like bubbles and evaporate. I think it is more like a leak but try to convience him of that! I feel like I may be looking at some repair work down the road. Can the port and the damaged part of the tubing be replaced or does everything have to be removed?:omg:
  5. Can't believe it, today I went in for a fill. I was at 3.3.and needed an adjustment. I didn't fell like I had ANY restriction. When he accessed by port I didn't have any fill at all. Doc said that sometimes the saline will evaporate. Have any of you heard of this or had it happen to you?
  6. Anyone banded in South Arkansas. A support group would be nice. Even if it is online. I was banded Feb. 05. Dr. Clay Wellborn in Little Rock is my physician.
  7. Thanks for the advice. I have been banded for 14 months and have lost 50 lbs. I still need to lose 45 more lbs. but because of this problem I am slowly gaining instead of losing. Any suggestions?
  8. My band is at a 3.0 fill and has been for about 8 months. If I advance past this fill I am awaken at night by liquid backing up and aspirating into my lungs. I can't fill therefore my weight loss is at a stand still. I should be able to hold another 1 to 2 cc's. Anyone having this problem?
