  1. This is my first post. My surgery date is scheduled in a few days. I can't wait. I've been sticking to my pre-op diet and hating every minute of those chalky protein shakes, but loving the weight loss. My only concern is I've caught I mild cold a few days ago and don't know if that could affect my surgery. I don't meet with my doctor again until the actual date of sugery. I don't have a fever or anything, just some mild conjestion and coughing. I don't know what I'd do if it had to be postponed. I'm a teacher and I completely planned this around Christmas break. Do they typically go ahead with surgery if you have a mild cold?
