  2. I have actually posted before in regards to food getting stuck and the slime. I get "stuck" at least once a day. My last fill was November 20th. It is like this always. People say that the band may be too tight but yet I don't ever feel like I'm really full. In fact, I can eat pork with no problem (like today) but then have something like a piece of lunch meat (chewed very well) get stuck. It is so frustrating!!! I am beginning to think that it isn't even getting stuck at my stomach but more in my esophagus as it just seems "instant" when it happens. Swallow the food and then it's stuck. When this happens, I can go through bouts of throwing up 5-10 times!!! After this bout, I can eat "normal" again (normal for me is chewing very well, no bread, etc...). Anyway, just my two cents....
  3. I drink out of a straw and have no problems whatsoever. I personally do not like drinking out of glasses at restaurants that a million other people drank out of and I didn't personally clean. So a straw it is. (I don't drink coffee or hot tea).
  4. I was banded in June of this year and thus far have lost 40 lbs. My third fill was on November 20th. Throughout this whole process I have been bringing up slime. What actually is this stuff? It is very rare for me not to "slime" during a day. I am so thankful for the days that I don't. You may say you didn't chew enough, ate too fast, etc.. but I have been very careful. In fact, sometimes it is just on my very first bite of food that this happens. Othertimes during the day I have no problems eating anything. It has even happened on Soup already. Other than wanting to know what the "slime" actually is, what are the consequences of this constant vomit/burping up? The pain gets so bad that I get the drive heaves and sometimes heave 5-6 times before something comes up. It comes to the point where I feel like I can't breathe while I['m heaving and at some times, get rapid heart beat. It actually feels like my esophagus goes into spasms. Tonight I had an episode again and my chest (heart) was hurting. When this happens, it averages about 5 times of dry heaves/throw up. In one episode alone (heaving several times), I can fill an 8 oz. cup almost to the top. Any input would be so helpful. I'm getting disgusted with it all but still am glad to have gotten the lapband done.
