I was banded on feb 18, 2009. it was scarey going in but before i knew what was going on, I was out cold! The exp. was great. my doctor and facitlity was awsum. i am a little sore and now 4 days post op. i feel like i might be hungry, but in not really hungry. iI think its more what I'm used to....eating. Pre-op I lost 3 lbs and to this day I am down 4lbs total. I rather go down than up so thats good for me. See you later new me!

hi...I was wondering how long it took to get your final approval? your timing and mine sound the same. However, I went to my first nutritional and weightloss in oct 2008. my second wls in nov. 3rd in dec. and last this past monday....the docs office sent everything in to ins today. I called ins. today and they told me that my case is pending now ..they just got it. so how long did it take you from the time ur docs office sent in pre cert. to ins til ins. gave u the approval? let me know...im so anxious already! the docs office told me anywhere from 3-14 days. I have aetna PPO, so far it has been smooth...they do cover this surgery 100%...let me know..thanks!

i am 23 days from my last nutrition visit and my 10 day post op diet! im so excited and nervous...but more excited...anyway..thanks for the encouragement. i love hearing how everyone is happy they made this decision.

Hello all: I came here for some info. I have gone thru the steps for this lapband and if all goes well I can be banded late Januray 08 - mid feb 09. I have struggled with my weight for all of my 38 yrs. I see this as a way to gain some sort of management. I am exited but also have lots of questions and am very very nervouse to be sedated. Does anyone have any words of encouragement on this whole procedure? My surgeon will be Dr. Benevides with True Results. Does anyone have any comments on this doctor and his bedside manner?
