  1. Hi Guys! I was also banded on December 17th. I had a really hard time with the liquid diet pre and post op. I'm now on mushies. I don't think I'm doing a great job though. I think I stretch the definition of "mushies" too far sometimes. I keep thinking if I can mush it up good in my mouth and it's soft to start with, then it works. Maybe I should try harder, but I just have a really hard time. I just look forward to eating solid food and making healthy balanced meals. I have lost 25 lbs, so I guess that part is good. lol :tongue2:
  2. Hi guys, my band is on! I had my surgery yesterday morning. I was really worried about the size of my liver because I was on a clear liquid diet for 2 awful weeks and I did have some chicken a few days in the middle. But the doctor said it was one of the best shrunk livers he had seen. I was so glad. Right now I'm really sore in my abdomen and the gas pains have been really rough.:w00t: I'm just sipping on some gatoraid here and there, but it feels weird going down. Well, I really hope it gets better soon. I hope everyone is going well also.
  3. Hi everyone! Wednesday is my big surgery day. So exciting! I also have 4 small children. I have a 3 1/2 year old daughter, 2 year old son, and twin 5 1/2 month old sons. My sister and her best friend are coming tomorrow and staying with me until Christmas when we will all go to my mom's. There I will have lots of help. lol I'm so glad they're coming to help because my husband has to work. He took my surgery day off of course, but since he is a teacher he doesn't have many personal days. He does however get out of school on Friday for Christmas break, so it won't be so bad. My doctor told me not to lift the babies for at least 4-6 days after surgery. As for my 2 year old, it will be a while. He' s around 32 lbs. lol Well, good luck to all! :blushing:
  4. Thanks for the lesson on how to do the tickers & trackers. i was having such a hard time with it last night. lol I guess I'm not as computer savvy as I thought. lol
