  1. Congratulations, that is awesome. I guess patience is key in this as well. I see my self losing slowly and realize that's it's OK.
  2. Hi, I am from the area and though I don't have Medicaid -I believe my doctor Brett Cohen from Surgical Consultants of Hollywood accepts Medicaid, their phone number is 954-966-8559.
  3. Well great to hear we are all in the same struggle which obviously is normal. I get my first fill next week and at the moment feel normal, barely any restriction. I've gone beyond mushies to the real stuff but trying not to over do it. What I am having issues with or maybe not issues just discomfort is where the port is. It feels tender and at times it feels like poking needles in that area. Has anyone had that?
  4. Hi thanks so much for your response and encouragement. Glad to know that others feel the same way - I will be getting my first fill on 12/18 so I'll wait til then to see how I feel.
  5. Hi just got my lapband on 11/21/08 and I feel as if I had nothing. As a matter of fact I am already eating solid foods without any restrictions - more so testing myself. I realize I shouldn't do that but is it just because my band is empty? Has anyone felt like this at the beginning - I feel really good, surgery went great, and I am healing wonderfully but as far as my stomach it's like it was before surgery unrestricted!!
  6. Congratulations, that's great! When I was reading your blog I thought why would you even have lapband doesn't seem you were to heavy to begin with but having diabetes I guess was the decisive factor for you. I just got mine 11/21/08 I am 45 years old and was weighing 275 I've lost 12 lbs since - which I don't consider much but I am not following through as I should I haven't had a fill yet and it seems like I don't even have a Lapband. A little frustrated right now. Did you feel like that?
