as long as you drastically reduce your fat intake, stay away from bevvy and drink plenty water and i mean plenty, try and aim for 3 -4 litres, i know its a lot but it will help your liver reduce and make your op quicker and inturn reduce your recovery. Another we additive to get is milk thistle capsules from health shop there about £15 i think help clenase your liver. Keep the wuestions coming your no different to all of us. Gx

its quite strange my restriciton you think you have none but i have noticed this week that its taking me 30-40 mins to eat my evening meal so thats a huge change, when i start to eat i get restriciton but about 4 fork fulls into it, its as if it relaxes then i can eat allbeit slower so i am getting there not quite enought to dratically reduce my portions but on the road. I am not sure when i will get a next fill as i am away at the end of may when Dr c is in scotland.

that is exactly what happens with me oh well its normal, i do notice i have really got to take my time eating so i think i cant be too far away from it. Excercise going well training about 5 days per week, boxing, running spin class weights its all just fun fun fun, NOT, i am over the 5 stone mark now so quite happy long way to go but i will get there. G

mon the bevvy bobo, glad to hear your still loosing, was that you at wls the day. got a 3rd last week and felt great restricition in the place ie i could not really get water down but ithat level went that night.

thats good you can get them every 2 wks, i aint far away when he done it on fri i really struggled with the water and he initially thought he would need to take some back out but i waited 15 mins in reception drinking water and then the water started moving but by that night it had eased a hell of a lot.

hi sammy good to hear from you, yep i was in and out and back on the road to glasgow in 30 mins never felt much difference wi fill so i have since had another last friday in glasgow, i am geeting ther not quite restriciton but i am taking a lot longer to eat and do have to stop so thats kind of restriciton so me thinks the next one will be the one. hi odgemodge welcome to the fold, you must be excited, you and your sis will be in good hands over there, on the old bevvy front, you hear many conflicting stories, there is no medical reason why you should not drink however i would go for the 6 weeks after they reccomentd for it all to settle, the only worry i had was that if i got relly blootered what would happen if i was sick hahahaha, so we all on here have had a wee drink but i would wait till at least your first fill which will be 4-6 weeks then just take it easy. Remember that alcohol is empty calories and in a night you can put away a hell of lot of calories without knowing and also alcohol reduces the bodys ability to burn fat as fuel for a few days after. hey mags, yeh i crammed in an extra one this month, i got one booked for may so that i think should be the one as i felt mega restriciton right after it but its away however i dont think its far away. Its all that fresh bread cheese and croisants your eating over ther i know i would, hope your all well. Gxx

well the confusion of this god dam band continues, i went for my 3rd fill this morning and after he found port he gave me a fill i got another 3ml, he did say there was only 5ml in it and not the 7ml i thought. I drank the water and yeeehaaaa i had proper restriciton now i mean the water was not going down easy and i was getting the thick gloop in the mouth and could have brought it back up. At that point he thought he should remove a little, i went and sat in reception and let him see another patient. During this time i was able to drink 2.5 cups of water allbeit slowly and i felt every drop so when i went in he said that was fine and welcome to the band doing its job. As you can imagine i was happy and left. I had a bowl of soup at lunch and drank throughout the day although i never felt the same feeling, i have managed 2 hearty bowls of blended soup tonight and i can drink 2-3 mouthfulls of water in one go no probs now. I guess it seems to have settled, i did not realise it could go so quick. Can anyone concur or had a simillar situation. Gx

tell me about it sweet cheeks my weight is up and doon like a fiddlers elbow but strvation aint the answer it only makes it worse. I was 9 pound lighter on sun morning from sat (on the same scales and same time) yet 7 of them are back on today, i do think however its because i had a wee bevvy on sat and must have been dehydrated on sun. GX
