FDClerical. Thanks so much for your answer. So sorry to read of recent sadness. The reflux issue seems to be a bit of a crap shoot as to whether you will be affected by it or not. A lot to think about. Good luck with your upper GI, I hope that you find a solution and some relief.

Would like to revise from band to sleeve but am concerned about this reflux issue. Even before having the band I had issues with acid reflux. I have it well under control now by taking omeprazol daily, but am concerned that with the sleeve the omeprazol won't be effective. Has anyone been ableto control their reflux succesfully by taking a ppi after VSG? Thnaks!

Just one more question, if you don't mind; how many people were having surgery the same day as you? Is that Dr. alejandro lopez? If it is, I am also thinking very seriously about having a revision from band to sleeve with him, he seems like a very capable and experienced surgeon. When are you going? I would be really happy to receive any feed back from you. Good luck!
