  1. Dear 80s_chick, I completely understand your feeling of violation! Not personally but through a family member's experiences. Your pain sounds scarily similar to what this family member went through earlier this year. Severe, debilitating pain in the abdomen very similar to gall bladder pain. His turned out to be a condition called "Sphincter of Oodi Syndrome"...rather rare but happens to a few gall bladder patients. Think about asking about it when you see another doctor. Hope you feel well soon!
