  5. Hi, I'm new here. I was banded in 11/08. I was never successful with it at all. Partly due to non compliance. I'm looking to have revision in March of this year. CowgirlJane, you mentioned having your band for 10 years when you had revision. Did your surgeon have a hard time removing it due to scar tissue? Arenyou having success so far, and how was recovery. I'm concerned about complications upon removal of the band. Any insight would be greatly appreciated.
  6. Thanks Marivan, I'll take that, but I did say that I dont blame this on my band, and I know it takes more on my part, which is why I'm holding myself accountable. Today is a new day and I'm dusting myself off ,and trying it again. Any and all encouraging words will be greatly appreciated.
  7. Thanks NewSho for the advise. I too have been struggling to lose. I was banded 11-21-08, to date I have lost nothing. Yes its very discouraging. But I have noone to blame but myself. Initially I lost 20 lbs post op, but gained it back due to my very bad eating habits. But im not giving up. Its worth a try. I can in no way shape form or fashion blame this on my band. One good thing, I continue to exercise here and there. Im also in need of an adjustment, as I can eat alot more food than allowed. Im a work in progress, and Im willing to try just about anything. Hey, its worth a try anyway. So thanks for the awesome post.:bored:
  8. Hi,What an awesome idea. I'm from Silsbee,Tx. I was banded in Mexico on 11-21-08. To date I've lost only 35 lbs, but I've lost several inches. Weight loss is slow, but I'm content as long as I'm losing inches also.

  11. Hi, i'm a newbie to the site. I was banded 11-21-08 by DR. Jose Rodriguez in Juarez. My experience was absolutely wonderful. They treat you like royalty. Hospital Angeles is one of cleanest hospitals i've ever seen. The staff was very nice. My husband and I drove 12 hrs. to El Paso, I have a thing with flying. We were then put in a hotel. Very nice also, before being picked up by the hospital's drver the next morning. Everything was smooth sailing. I would recomend anyone to go to Mexico. Price-7,000.00. Hotel included.:whatchutalkingabout
  12. Hi, I'm a newbie to this site. I'm 8 days post op. I was banded in Mexico. I'm having a hard time sticking to my post op full liquid diet. I know for me it's more mental than anything, but does anybody have suggestions as to how I can make this transition a little easier.
