  1. Glenda, Good for you! Keep up the good work. You are doing well on your journey. I got banded on Dec 18, 2008 and have lost a total of 51 lbs. I've been perusing the board to get my motivation back up to speed .... it's getting there. Mary
  2. Glenda, How's the exercise going? I'm trying to get myself motivated to kick it in gear and haven't been able. Yesterday I ran up and down the street holding my little girl up on her bike (she's afraid to fall). So today it's the same. So, I've got two days going... Mary
  3. You are talking 150 plus calories per glass of wine (depending upon glass size). I've not been loosing and realized that my liquid calorie (wine & an occaisional martini) consumption has increased. I believe this is why I haven't been losing recently. So I figure I'm going to give it up (except for special occasions and include it in the calorie total) until I hit goal. Good luck.
  4. I have a similar issue, when I get home about 6:30 pm I'm starving. So I eat a 1/2 cup of cottage cheese (lots of protein) with a little bit of fat free catalina and that holds me till dinner about 9pm. I was banded on 12/18/08 so I understand where you are coming from.
  5. I was a huge diet coke drinker and caffeine drinker. Haven't had either since the surgery. I now only drink decaf coffee in the am and water. I also try to stay away from aspartame. I had my surgery about 4.5 months ago. I thought I would miss it, but don't. Everyonce in awhile I miss it, but it's the head missing it. Good luck.
