thanks for the replies. i rang the doc this morning as i still couldnt hold anything down. Water, juice, Soup everything was coming up. then i started vomiting even when i hadnt had anything else to drink... i was bringing up saliva was so gross. I couldnt hold my heart tablet down or anything. so i rang the doc and i went straight in. he took out 1 ml. and im all good. i can hold down water. i just had some soup and its still down. yay thanks for the replies..

Hey all, i just had my second fill today. I had 3ml put in so now i have a total of 8ml in a 12ml band. since i have had it i have this oddness in my stomach and chest.. its like the Water got stuck.. and even when i dont drink anything i feel like im going to throw up like there is something there to throw up. it reminds me of when something gets stuck. Just then i drank a few sips of apple juice and it all just came straight back up.. i drank it slowly and in small sips but it didnt matter.. is this normal? am i just going thru a getting used to it being so full kinda thing??

Hey all I was banded by Kevin Dolan on 15th November 2008 i have lost 10kg. ive had 1 fill of 5ml in a 10ml band and i go back in a few weeks for my second. bubz

Hey Tas well my op was 2 weeks yesterday and i feel really good. i hardly get any pain at all only where my port is when i lean forward very quickly. im not working at the moment so i didnt have to take any time off. but the work i did do was really strenuous and hard on the body and i dont think i would of quite been ready to go back just yet tho. I also have other health factors that make my recovery a little worse then others. what kind of work do you do? where about in perth are you? I had 2 weeks of fluids. off them yesterday.

Hey Tas how ya going? I was banded by dolan nearly 2 weeks ago. i to was like you scared, and nervous lol but dolan is awesome. he made me feel so much at ease. i to like you had my appointment and then didnt see him again till after the op. well actually right before the operation happened and he was still smiling and laughing. he is an awesome doctor and would recommend him to anyone. He will come see you the morning after the operation and make sur eyour ok i was already up and showered and dressed by the time he came in. lol and he took one look at me and went right your ok to go home then lol. i had no issues. the night after the op i was up around 20 times i think going to the toilet.. stoopid drip thing they put in i couldnt hold it. no lie every 1.5 hours i was at the toilet. so they knew i was good to walk around etc. the barium swallow test.... i really dont know what to tell you apart from omg it is disgusting. lmao but it is needed. and it doesnt take long. If you feel sick tho just tell them. when i laid down on the mri scan i had to sit back up i thought i was going to bring it all back up lol. after that i had some clear Soup and Water and some other stuff and a few hours later i was on my way home yay. i have rang him a few times with question etc and he has been great. i dont know anyone that has had it done so i had noone to refer to. where as now i do. any other questions feel free to pm me. glengarry is a nice hospital. been there. wat day is your op? friday mornings there are kids everywhere.... canadian girl no secret just the change i think lol. liquids. mind you im at a stand still at the moment. haha how long did everyones port and area hurt? mine still hurts a lot. when i lean forward it hurts, when i move it hurts, if im sitting and leaning back im ok and if im just standing still its ok. but if i drive or lean forward it all hurts. sometimes i have to grab my stomach as it hurts so much. is anyone else like this?

thanks everyone for your replies. i have found out that it is my port. and its normal. lol i just dont get why after a week it has started hurting lots. i thought it would of been like that the whole time. doc said to just take it easy and see how it goes. as im doing! ihave lost 8 kilos in 9 days so im happy lol

I was just curious of where everyones port is? I can feel a hard..something kinda lump on my right side near my bellybutton. which is just to the right of the bottom and longest incision. is this my port? it kinda hurts a bit when you press on it and my stomach sticks out over it. like a little buldge is this normal? or should i be worried? im going to call my surgeon and find out where my port is but i cant do that as its 10.30 at night here. and i figured posting on here might ease my curiosity and worry a little bit. can anyone tell me what their pains feel like when they eat to fast?? i have a sharp pain on my right hand side of my chest but more so when i breath in. is this similiar to what everyone else gets??

ReadySteadyGo thanks for the welcome and thanks for letting me know its a slow forum lol. i was wondering if i had said something wrong then i got the post from Vikihong and wondered if no one was posting in here anymore. a slow loser? how much have u lost since ur band? im finding out more and more info about banding since being here and im realising i had the op done with out really knowing alot. not that im regretting it i just wish i had of known more i weighed my self sunday and i was 97kilo(sorry not sure on pounds) and i weighed my self last night(Thirsday night and i was 92kilos as much as i hate liquids im glad theres something coming off lol!!

hey fanny thanks for the welcome!! im glad i found this place! yeh i know what you mean about emotional rollercoaster im on one of them today! been a horrible day. im over the liquids! had enough of them. i know everyone says that and i feel sorry for the ones who are on it longer then 2 weeks
