  1. Hello All, I found out two days ago that my band has slipped so I took out the Fluid and it seems like I have gotten worse (still can't keep solids down). My doc is going to do a GI tomorrow and if it is bad I am going to have to do surgery on Friday. I should have known something was wrong! I've been vomiting for almost a year and have pains on my left side. I am not taking this very well! Has anyone else been through this? My doc says I have a choice to preplace the whole band or stich it back. How am i supposed to know what to do? THANK YOU, BERNIE
  2. Hello, I am a bit confused/concerned because out of nowhere I suddenly have become restricted again. I haven't had a fill since Easter and was happy with the pace of weight loss and amount of restriction until two weeks ago when things started to get stuck again. Is it true that stress can make the band tight? What are the signs that this is something to be concerend about? Thank you!
  3. Hello All, I have had four fills and the last one was way too tight. I lasted two weeks until I had to go back to my doc to take out some fluid. It was pretty bad everything was getting stuck and water was even tough to get down. I asked the dr. what cc's are in my band so i can try and figure out what is good for me. His response was rude...its too complicated for you to figure it out leave it up to me. Well, that was a week ago. I have no restricition and have gained a couple of pds. Is this what your dr.'s told you?
  4. I am with you! I was addicted to the food network and still am. Its like tourture to watch. I am not hungry but crave those foods again.
  5. today makes 1 week since i was banded. tonight i cheated and ate a bit of protein in my soup. i now feel nauseas and concerned that i messed something up. how are other people doing after your first week? are you still in pain? i am a bit around my stitches. i go back to work tomorrow and surprisingly i am excited because it will hopefully get food off my mind. wieght down is 10 pds..
  6. i am totally with you but today is my third day and it is gettting a little better. did your doc give you anything for nausea? i still have bad back pain but i can finally breath without my stomach feeling like it is going to rip in half. i think the pain for me is gas and back massages and pats (like burping a baby) has help release the mean painul gas. i too was concerned about the pain lasting this long so i called my doc and he told me it is totally normal to keep taking my pain meds and relax.
  7. He wasn’t too specific so I will call and ask. Did you only drink protein drinks during your pre-op? What did you drink after surgury? P.S. Thanks for the quick response J
  8. I am getting banded on Nov. 24th and my doc only required a one week pre-op diet. Are ensure protien drinks okay?
