  1. Hi, Whatever you do please don't be discouraged. They told me the same thing I went with what best suited me which was the lapband. You have to understand that whatever you decide to get it's just a tool you are going to have to help it to succeed. I got my lapband August 2007 Dr. Spiegel in Houston completed my surgery he told me from day one that it's only a tool and I have to be the one to make it work. I have changed my eating habit, and start exercising I have lost a total of 90 pounds. It was a struggle but, I did not give up and I have gain my life back I feel great and look great. Please do not be discourage because you are at risk if you do not have the surgery!
