  1. I had my lap band three years ago. In the beginning I lost 55 pounds with the band and gradually slow down for me to the point that I gain about 10 pounds and I have been up 5 pounds and down 5 pounds can't seem to lose to my goal, lately the upper top of my stomach seems inflamated and the part where my port is it hurts to the touch I am afraid that this band is causing internal problems and I would have to take it out I have an appointment with my surgeon to see what he recommends. I have not see him in a long time and I don't know what he is going to say. I am very disappointed with this surgery and is causing me a lot of disconfort. I guess I will let you all know the outcome of my appointment.

  6. Hi, my name is Diana I was banded in August 2008 by Dr. Geiss at Syosset Hospital in Syosset, New York. I had a bump in the road, where they had to get all the liquid out of my band and they did an endoscopy to remove a lot of food that was stucked in my esophagus, I am better now but after the surgery they only put 1 1/2 cc of fill in my band and I feel like I am always hungry specially late afternoons. Can anybody suggest anything about hunger in the afternoons. Thank you.:smile2:
  7. I had my band put in August 2008 and had a lot a adjustment problems, I had to have a endoscophy to remove food stocked on my esophagus and I am still adjusting to this band it does not mean you should take it out. Hang in there and think on the positive outcome when you lose the weight
