  1. At the present time I am not exercising. I had a port replacement last week because I lost the sutures and it flipped over. I am a little hesitant because I think that I may have over done the excercise and training hard with a personal trainer. Has anyone heard of this happening to anyone else? Thanks!
  2. Hey there! I live in Fort Worth. I was banded back in March. The best thing that u can do is follow all the instructions to the T. No matter how hard it may seem. The walking will be good to help with the gas pain. Just don't over do it. I am not sure what I did but apparently I did to much of something that the sutures came off and my port flipped over. I have not had restriction since june. I had surgery this past friday and am anxiously awaiting full recovery and a good fill. I wish you all the best of luck. Welcome aboard this journey on a new life!
  3. I won't miss pretending I am afraid of crowds at sporting events or social events because what I really fear is not fitting in the seats. I won't miss the looks of the people that have to sit next to me on an airplane or having to whisper to the flight attendant that I need a seat belt extension. I won't miss always having to stand behind people in photos to hide my body and just show my face. I won't miss always passing up pool or beach parties on the account of I refuse to go in public in a swim suit...and I LOVE to swim! There are so many things that I have started to appreciate already and I am only down about 40lbs...I can't wait to make all of these things that we talk about a reality! - Stella
  4. Hi all! I just had my port replaced on Halloween. I was banded on March 12th and had only got one fill. When I went in for the second one I found out that my port had flipped. The dr is still not sure what I could have done to make this happen however, thinks that may have been because I started training really hard with a personal trainer. This was in June. I had to wait to get it replaced because my insurance company changed and the new one did not cover it. I paid 5,500 for it. I was under general and was able to get a smaller port. I am in recovery now which seems to be going pretty good. I am wondering if anyone knows how long I have to wait to get a fill. It seems like I have not had the opportunity to fully start taking advantage of my band. I am anxious to start loosing again. Thanks in advance for any info!
