  1. I'm a feb 12ther too! I'm feeling good, no pain anymore, still kinda feel out of it, but otherwise, great! I started mushy food today, i was getting so tired of drinking CIB!
  2. Hey everyone! I had my surg and everything of course went well. I got all freaked out over nothing! I was so drugged up all i remember was a mask and then waking up my hospital room with my husband. I have like no pain, just a little sore around one of my cuts. So all in all it went really well!
  3. I mean, i know deep down that i'm going to be fine. I've had oral surg, under the same anistesia (sp?). Its just such a HUGE deal. I'm excited, but scared, happy but nervious. I think everyone goes through these emotions  Thank you!
  4. Okay, so my surg. is thursday and i'm having some pre-surg jitters! It doesnt help that i check out of the hospital on friday the 13th!! If my surg. was that day, i'd have to reschedule! Help! I'm getting so freaked out!
  5. I dont think i've posted here yet, but my date is the 12th! I start my pre-op diet on thursday (the 29th!) as each day come closer to surg. i get more and more nervous! Luckly me and a girl from the pre-op class have been talking on here and she has surg the day i start my pre-op diet! She's going to hook me up with the blow-by-blow details!
  6. What are some of your favorite staple foods? Quick meals? I start my pre-op diet on the 29th and plan on going through our freezer/fridge/pantry and giving all the stuff I won’t be able to eat to my skinny friend's. I'd like to stock up on quick meals and what I should just keep around in my pantry for when I’m actually able to eat. I bought the book "eating well after weight loss surgery" and she had some good staple foods to have around, but I’m curious to see what you all have around. Also, if you go out to dinner, where do you go? what do you get? I'm just trying to get some ideas! I appriciate it!
  7. What a great idea, about the timers! I have a 2 year old daugter, so we have plenty of those spoons! Great idea's!!
  8. What do you guys use for food storage? I saw rubbermaid makes 4 oz "snack" containers. I am to be banded Feb 12th and trying to get everything together. THank you!
  9. I had my nurtriton class on the 5th of this month. I just got my surgery date in the mail today Feb 12th! I'm so nervous, but i'm really excited. Everyone kept saying how booked up they where, so i wasnt exspecting to get it until march!
  10. Thank you! I'm sorry i'm so late to replying! btw, i'm orignally from Fredericksburg, i spent the first 11 years of my life in spotsy! I got my surgery date in the mail today Feb 12th! so exciting! so scary! so nervous!
  11. So, I've been going through the process to get banded! I've completed my Nutrinist and Psych eval. I did the Psych eval, tuesday, he said he would try to get it faxed by friday. So hopefully monday i can call and set up the rest of the process, which i believe is pre-op and post-op classes & surgery scheduling. I'm going to Richmond Surgical Group & with Dr. Shroder (sp?). My story is pretty typical. I've struggled with my weight my whole life, my family is overweight...blah blah blah. So it should be fun to have some folks to share with, since no one i know actually KNOWS what its like to go through all this  So here we go! -Alyx
