  1. I read the thread about the rib eating / not chewing. I was banded on 10/22 have not had any problems. Sometimes I wonder if it is a bad thing. I have not found any thing that has given me a problem, I have been carefull on amount. I do think I need to chew better sometmes. I have lost 43 pounds since banding. 159 from my heaviest 11/06. I go 5-10 days with no loss and them will drop 4-5 pounds in a week. I am walking 1hr 5-6 times per week and lifting 3-4 times per week, I think building muscle sometimes mask my loss. Is this normal? What is PB and sliming?
  2. You still only eating 1/3 cup or 3 oz per meal? Or is that your protien portien per meal?
  3. Hey All, I was banded on 10/22 ben doing great untill 11 days ago, have not lost a pound since then. I am not over eating and I have been walking up 1hr everyday. I am on Kaiser so started their stage 4 about the time I stopped losing. How are you all doing?
  4. Hey all, Looking for some support and answers. I was banded on 10/22, I have lost 31 lbs. I am now eating soft protien what Kaiser calls stage 4, deli meats, cheese, eggs, cooked veggies, etc. Since starting this I have not lost a pound in 11 days. I am measuring my food, exercising daily. What is going on? I have not been over eating although I feel like I could eat or drink anythng (I have not tested it). I never feel full... but I am not hungry after eating... Feeling pretty bummed right now....
  5. I was done on the 22nd as well. I have been very lucky very little pain. Walking 1-2 miles a day, I really thing that has helped. Have lost 16 lbs. Still on liqued, will be on it until Nov 12th. Have been tempted to chew something, after reading your ordeal, I think I will pass. Keep up the good work, Keep your eye on the prize.
  6. Howdy, I am looking for a support group Woodland, Davis, Sacramento area. Anyone know of ay good ones. Hopefully geared more towards Lap-band Thanks, Rob
  7. I had mine at Richmond, Dr. Judith Parks her and the surgery team rocked. The Case manager Liz can be a bit of a pain. But she knows her stuff. I feel I got well taken care of.
  8. I had the same problem, I am about 10 days after and it is much better. I found staying away from fiber like cream of wheat helped. I started walking 1-2 miles the day after my surgery, that really helped with the gas. The more you walked the quicker the gas will get out of you. what I thought was hunger pains turned out to be gas, I am feeling great now. Still get tired easily, but that is getting better. Take care, and keep moving
  9. I cam home got on the tread mill for 25 min, took a nap, back on the tread mill walking slowly for another 25 min. I have been walking one - two miles a day. I have had very little pain. I think the walkng really helps with that. Getting the gas out of your system is the hardest part. I really feel good I had the guts to do this for me and my family. You should as well... Best wishes
  10. I had my placement on Oct 22, at Kaiser, it seems from reading others their progarm is a little different, They do not want you dinking protien shakes. Stage 1 is clear liquids 1-3 days, then Full liquids, pudding, ceam of wheat, strained soup etc, 2-3 weeks, then you start pureed protien, 2-3 weeks, then soft food, then regular diet, 5 stages. I am on stage 2. I have lost 15 pounds so far. Today was the first day I had not lost 1-2 pounds. I am feeling good been walking up to 2 miles at a time. Played 18 holes of golf yesterday, got a little tired but felt ok this morning. My problem has been 1-4 diarrhea events a day. Anyone else having problems with diarrhea?
  11. Had my placement on 10/22, pain has been 2-3, not bad. I have been feeling weak and tired the past couple days. Thinking about food a lot. TV does not help with the food cravings. Over all doing pretty good. Have lost 13 pounds. Drinking 64 oz fluids or more a day. Plan on returning to work next Monday.
